Photo attached from one of the reviews...

Going to guess that the given dimensions were taken with the articulating fan portion pointed downward. I'm with you, though, that calling it a 10" desk fan is misleading at this size. When it comes to fans of any type, the given dimension is expected to be the diameter of the fan itself.

The 10" fan may be misleading but I actually wanted a battery operated fan that was a bit smaller and this fit the bill.

Does anyone know if this uses the standard 18650 battery? The illustration shows two smaller batteries accessed by a panel on the back of the fan but the description says "Built-in real 4000mAh battery".

I received one of these yesterday. This is the quietest fan I have ever bought. And I buy most of the cheap deals posted here and elsewhere. The air flow at the lowest setting is surprising strong. I don't know what kind of battery it uses. It's not easily accessible even though I removed the only small screw on the back panel. If it fails, I assume you can use it plugged into 5V USB. I ordered a second one today.
