if you don't require ring, then you should look at the ikea ones.

they use AAA, and have an audible alert.

I wonder if they are going to announce a new version and they are clearing these out....I hope they do. I've had a lot of issues with these have "tamper alert" warnings (that set the alarm off) when they haven't been touched in months.

Nope. Won't even tell you the temp. It just alerts when it hits 40F which makes it a cold alarm not a freeze alarm to me..

This is a z-wave device, which can work on hubs from Hubitat, HomeSeer, SmartThings, HomeAssistant, ZBox, Wink, etc. as well as security systems like Alarm.com, Vivint and Ring.

That 40°F setting is not changeable? I cannot set it to 33° for example?

I cannot find any threshold setting in my existing freeze/water sensors. It's just a slider to enable 'low temperature detected'. Seems like Ring set a specific temperate value but they don't you what it's set to nor can I find a place to change it, at least in the Ring app.

I don't understand the design of this. I want to detect water, only. So will this trigger if it is dry 40F?
