These Harbor Breeze branded lights are extremely cheap quality. Nothing but flimsy plastic and a tiny circuit board

I've tried all sorts of solar lights. They're all a waste imo. Just buy some low voltage LED landscape lights and have it last longer and more consistently. They are brighter, more reliable, and don't use too much electricity.

Agreed, although I ended up just using a smart outlet outside with an outdoor extension cord with weather rated floodlights and that's been working well for the past 10 years at a cost of maybe $30.

I do have a few solar lights I use where I want dim light under some trees and in an odd angle in front of my garage where I can't easily run electric without going under the sidewalk.
