Sheer curiosity: What uses SAE hex wrenches?

I don't think I've ever seen a screw that needed one. American cars haven't used SAE in decades. I know SAE is still common in American construction, but I can't recall ever seeing a hex socket head fastener in use. Maybe HVAC?

I use them for tightening screws and fixtures in the machine shop.

I don't have this set but have a similar set with a similar pricepoint from Wal Mart. I have no complaints about the the tools themselves, but the decals for the sizes are surface level and got scraped pretty quickly, even with my careful homeowner light use. This looks VERY similar. Something to keep in mind.

Delta faucet handle set screws use a 3/32" hex.

Baby furniture and Ikea.
Of course, they usually include a hex wrench with the hardware.

Ikea furniture is metric not SAE. I'm not sure why baby furniture specifically would use SAE, I can't imagine much of it is made in the US.

Almost anything archery related. Limb bolts on Hoyt bows, most bolts for for arrow rests, sights, etc.
