Weak at the base
Does that just mean no heavy devices or just bad for any use case?

I bought two of these back in October 2023 as replacements for those gooseneck style tablet arms. Both of these that I purchased are still going strong today, my wife and I use them to hold our Kindles while in bed but I've also used it to hold my phone and my iPad mini.

Anyone try these with the ~$60 USB-powered Chinese monitors?

That was my first thought too. But mine is 15.6", so the question now is, "do I care enough to 3D print a VESA adaptor it can clamp to?"

Thinking of the same and I'm looking at some of the user photos where it sure looks like they have an ipad in the clamp lengthwise - i.e. it opens wide enough for the full length of the ipad to fit between the clamps. This makes me think it would be plenty wide enough to accommodate a 15" class portable monitor if you orient it the other way.

The only hesitation I have is why wouldn't they advertise this if it did work?

And here I found a review with an actual measurement! I measured my own 15" class panel and it would definitely fit in that clamp.

I didn't realize I bought this back in 2023 until I visited the product page. Now where did I put it?

Ah yes, I forgot that screen size is the diagonal. Thanks for the photo!

Code must be expired because each time I entered it I just got 'The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase.'
