Shit that's quite a discount. My Rockshox silver's from 2013 have been near bulletproof. I know the Fox crowd like to crow about the inferiority of Rockshox, and maybe Fox has a smoother travel, but this is a great price.

Yup. If you're someone that's not gonna be hucking 20-footers this fork is well worth $99.

I got this fork at the same price from Jenson about 4 months ago to replace the Suntour that came with my Rocky Mountain Growler hardtail, it's been great. If you're doing 20-30 footers you should probably look elsewhere but for the rest of us this is a great bang for a buck.

Is there easy way to convert them to 120/130mm?

I have this bike: https://www.marinbikes.com/bikes/...ge-grade-1
I'm around 250lbs, and I notice my current fork barely travels because my weight nearly tops it out. Would this fork be better for a heavier dude like me? Also, is it compatible with my bike?
If you're feeling extra generous with your time, how easy/expensive would it be to convert this bike into a 1x* drivetrain? Thanks!

The truth of the matter is that most all bicycle, and motorcycle, suspensions are set up for a 170 lb. +/- rider. Anyone else usually has to rework it for their weight. This is often cost-prohibitive for the casual rider.
That said, this fork has thicker (35mm) tubes. They will not flex as much as your 28.6mm tubes. And it has 140mm or 150mm travel vs your 100mm travel. So it is longer and will raise the front end of your bike up. This may, or may not, be a good thing.
This is an air fork. Much lighter than your spring fork. And more adjustable for your weight.
But, it is still likely designed for a 170lb. +/- rider. Also, it looks like your bike has 27.5" wheels. This fork is for 29" wheels. I do all my own bike work but it sounds like you might should enlist the expertise of your local bike shop to get your bike working better for you.

This is a pretty decent fork for heavier riders. The stanchions are 35mm which would reduce flex. I believe Rockshox provides settings for your weight. Since it's an air damper you can increase the pressure

Seems like a great deal but still a garbage fork. Read reviews on these. I had them and the small bump compliance is really bad due to stiction basically. I can't remember exactly what is wrong with the internal bushings but I ended up burnishing them with automotive brake porting homing tool just to try to relieve the stiction. I'm at 200 lbs and every little bump I felt hard versus other forks that feel supple over the same. As well the internals are intentionally non-compatible with internals from other forks. It is a bad business practice and I refuse to buy anymore Rockshox products due to that alone.

Thank you so much! Without knowing too much, I do believe the 29" thing might be a dealbreaker since you're correct in that my bike does have 27.5" wheels.

Will this fit a Walmart special 29in hyper explorer dual suspension?
