Segate scaming customers: 12tb msrp 249.99, 16tb msrp 349.99. However, 14tb msrp 449.99, 49% off, final price 229.99. Also, you can't apply a welcome coupon because its on sale. It's 2025 and customers can compare prices with just a few clicks.

Like couldn't you do "24%" or something remotely in the realm of possibility? I mean B Grade refurbs on eBay don't get a 50% cut.

Few days back Best Buy had a deal for 28TB for $450 or something. Way better deal and the memory size.

Is this better than the 24tb $250 external drives I've seen over the months?
Obviously not talking about the horrendous TB/$

What are you even supposed to store on 14TB — every game on Steam and a full backup of YouTube?))

My smart ass answer is 4k vids of your mom. The reality is, some of us prefer to DIY server than pay someone else for backups of all our own data (phones, computers) - also having the extra space for a plex server instead of paying for netflix or multiple streaming services.
