Seems like a good deal, just wish it didn't have WiFi and water in the door.

Does anyone have experience with this brand/fridge?

I guess you don't have to connect to Wi-Fi. Just use like the old fashioned fridge.

Why no water in the door? What's wrong with that?

My understand is more moving parts to break, and some type of hose or connection from the main part of the fridge to the door. What bothers me more is it looks like the ice maker is in the fridge. So now you have a freezing function in an area that isn't meant to freeze.

I bought a mora refrigerator from Costco. Mora is made by Hisense. This thing was terrible, the freezer was extremely cold and the refrigerator did not cool. Support was a nightmare. Gotta deal with ai for hours, you are directed to unplug for 24 hours, then restart, and phone call is ended. Then try again to be instructed to text a pic of the serial number, only later to be told to text a copy of the receipt. I spent a few hours and got nowhere. Finally Costco came and hauled the pos away and refunded me. If you ever need service on this I wish you the best of luck, and I hope you are excessively patient. You probably don't want this at any price point

Everything I read says simple is better reliability wise. Less to go wrong.

Oh, ice maker in the fridge is a big no.

In addition to all those issues, they're also bulky. If you click on the link and look at the pictures, look how much space they take up and make unusable.

Potential dealbreaker I see from one of the reviews:

"There is no automatic internal shutoff when you remove the water filter. You have to turn off your water supply line to the unit or turn off your water at the main shutoff for your residence. (Even our previous ancient fridge, allowed you to twist out the old filter without spraying water everywhere!)"

Can't find confirmation of this from any other review though.

People are nuts. No way would I consider a major appliance purchase from a Chinese company.

I feel like anybody who is spending $200 or more at Lowe's and want to save an additional 10% can do so by buying gift cards from the following deal:

I've done a lot of research on refrigerators lately and Hisense makes absolute garbage. The review scores are ok on the retail sites, but that's because Hisense manipulates them. Reviews from actual customers are almost always 1 or 2 stars.

Why Lowe's gave them a 5 year guarantee if they are that bad?

Lowe's offers that service for a fee, but they won't fix anything until Hisense's 2 year warranty is up. And from what I've read, Hisense rarely fixes anything.
