Not really but it works. I would caution that some of these lower end Fire TVs can have a painfully laggy interface. I have one and a standalone Firestick performs better. However for basic needs this TV is fine, just don't expect cinephile image quality.

I would spend $800 to $1200 and get something a little better if you're willing to spend 4,000 or 5,000 you can really get something special.
A little better going from $100 to $1200?

Though display lag database is out of date. TCL TVs with game mode are always pretty quick for input response, maybe that was before Amazon infiltrated and replaced their Roku hardware.

Even if i spend that kind of money on a TV, heck most of these blacklight LEDs hardly last more than 2-3 years until it die..

they are not "blacklight LEDs", and they also last many years.

Pioneer 50 inch TV at Bestbuy was $130 last week. I'd be surprised to see 50 inch tv for $100, if at all maybe a door buster type deal tvs 'made for Black Friday' but we never know! I maybe picking up one too!

I bought a 50 inch Pioneer from Best buy about 4 years ago, It's a bedroom Tv only. So if you buy this for a bedroom and not your main set it's a decent buy. It's truly not a Pioneer but the name plate so it's a TCL.

No. The 40 inch size is too large for a 1080p resolution when viewed from close up, as you'd expect to be doing with a computer monitor. The low pixel density will lead to blurry details and could cause significant eye fatigue (if you're planning on working on it for a long time); this will be especially true if you read on your computer a lot. You'll need to either go smaller at 1080p or look for something with an increased resolution. Even if you go smaller, the input lag may be noticable when compared with a traditional computer monitor, but that may or may not be important depending on how you plan on using your PC. I'd suggest going with a purpose built 24 or 27 inch monitor which you can find under 100 dollars with this resolution and a faster refresh rate. If you need the tv functionality and don't feel like using a browser for that purpose, you can probably buy something like a roku streaming stick and still be under 100 bucks with a 24 inch monitor.
