This may sound like a joke, but how are these compared to the Adidas hiking shoes that were on sale?

I rarely hike but would like a decent pair when needed (but I also don't want something that will kill my feet and knees)

Lots of reviews at the link, might find the answer best there.

Probably the same way a Stanley cup compares to a Ozark Trail cup. Same thing at 1/3rd the price.

Size 11 has been at $24.49, not $16.89.

strange that one select size w/b higher priced. Hopefully an 11.5 would fit most 11 users.

Bought these for hiking in Acadia last month. They were very comfortable and kept my feet dry.

Can't say anything about comfort because haven't done any serious hike with these, but they are incredibly heavy - much heavier than my other hiking shoes or even boots.

I just got mine I ordered up the 11.5 and they do seem to run true to size. I now wear an 11 but ordered up due to the site saying they run a bit small.

They don't. I will probably keep them and just wear with heavier socks.

Like AmusedLumber said, they are quite heavy and bulky. A lot like my carbon toe Wolverine shoes actually.

Much heavier than my Adidas Terrax ankle shoes.

Nothing, it is front page because for many it is a great deal. $16?

I've been on SD for 19 years, I'm not a shill. I just play one on TV.

I bought these. Returned them because they were pretty heavy. I stuck to trail runners instead
