It's a good mouse. But the coating starts to peel off after six months of active use. There are also reported issues with the buttons sticking.

I absolutely agree with this. When I first bought this thing, I thought it was amazing. I recommended it to all my co-workers. But then the coating started to wear off, right where my index fingers and thumb contact the mouse. It happened sometime between the 6-12 month mark. And apparently, it caused an allergic reaction. My thumb and index finger became sore, and started cracking and peeling. It occurred during the winter, so I thought it was just dry skin. I tried various lotions, but to no avail. Then I realized it was this stupid mouse. I "exterminated" it immediately. I reverted to a non-coated (albeit less luxurious) mouse, and my thumb and finger began healing shortly thereafter.

I'd never had that happen to me before or since. But I'm steering clear of this mouse.

Used for 5 years until the left button click stopped registering. Best mouse you can buy at this price range! I must have clicked it 100,000 times or more lol

Once that mouse died, I bought the MX3 for almost triple the cost.

Had this for 3 years. No defects. You gotta clean those greasy fingers.

That said, I got this for $35 regular price. This is not a great deal. It's been cheaper before.

yup, it's soft touch coating degradation and it's why i've stopped using Logitech mice for the last 5 years or so :| I really wish they stopped using it.

Best mouse and Costco use to always carry it... don't think they do anymore

But the left button like stops staying clicked, so click and hold to drag became a hassle ...

Lenovo makes a great competitor to this mouse. It's called the USB-C Wireless Multi-device mouse. It does not have any of the rubberized coating Logitech uses.

When did you get it from costco? I don't see it on their web site nor in Costco app.
I replenished my stock of this m720 mouse during covid in Sams for like $20, but gave out to family and friends and now my last one starts to peel (aka soft touch coating degrade). But even with that issue it it the best logitech mouse for me that allows to quickly switch between 2 PCs, so if there is still a place to buy at 20, I'd drive even to a Costco on a Saturday evening (aka war zone)

I was just like you and bought several on sale. Then I discovered the coating issue and discovered the mouse in my post above. Been using the same one for 3+ years now.

Did not happen to me.
I've been using these for over a decade.
