Finally the deal I was looking for. I needed to replace my 10 yr old non brushless 18v DeWalt drill but didn't need all the other combo tools I've been seeing all week.
Buy into an ecosystem not a single tool. If you only need a single tool look at power and torque and batteries that the kit comes with. I personally have the M12 as I'm in that eco system and it's great for 99% of the stuff the normal home owner will do, plus I have tons of other m12 stuff that's compatible.

Thank you for that insight. I am not in both, and so far, I have purchased tools from random brands (whatever is on deal). Now I am thinking for the long run, and like you said, getting into an ecosystem. I do want to keep it cost-effective and a reputable brand, which both are.

wow, I'm exactly as you, don't have any top brand tools yet, need to choose.
I know it's controversial but anyone interested would be better off buying the kit I linked below, choose something like the jigsaw as your free tool, then just return the jigsaw once you get it. Compared to the deal in this post, you end up with the same drill (DCD799), the DCf850 impact driver, and two batteries for around $165. Add the items to your cart to see the prorated amount. That deal will also be available longer than just today.

Does that kit with jigsaw come as two separate packages? I mean, is it possible to not get jigsaw tool for who is embarrassing with returns.
The drill/impact/battery kit is a standalone item. Whatever you choose from the list of free tools will be a separate item. The higher value tools make your prorated cost for the kit lower in your cart. There is no way to make the price of the kit lower without returning an item, if that is what you're asking.
Not sure why there would be any embarrassment with returning something you don't want.
