But us junkies will always buy another light. Next form factor I am looking at are the flat lights ala ark pro.
for me, this type of light(as well as similarly sized throwers) are my most used flashlight. they live by my front and back dorsr as a perfect light to check on my dog while he is out for the bathroom... perfect light to grab when i hear something outside at night. perfect to keep in my car/atv as a spot light for deer. perfect for tossing in a bag and taking it to my cabin for the weekend. perfect for getting the diffuser and using it as a lantern in outages.
You can see the ambient light around the flashlight and know exactly where they're standing and you won't be blinded, so if you're going to rely on a flashlight alone against the mean real attacker you're going to get hurt. But yeah it may help in about half the cases with wussy boys or idiots trying to attack you.
