This box has No Balls. By Balls, I mean ball bearing drawer slides like the HF. I have a heavy 'machinist clamp set' in the HF box, and it's a breeze to use when heavily weighted. The Husky and most others use metal slots as drawer slides and don't work nearly as well. 'Shop Humor' has a good review on several of these boxes, including the $150 snap-on. I have the harbor freight one since they launched it and love it. Perfect toolbox for the kitchen counter. This Husky one looks like cheaper quality all around. It does have a latch and handle which the HF does not, but I don't think it is necessary on a box this small and those dinky latches break Everytime anyway. The HF box goes on sale all the time too. I got it for $13.

by comparison, the harbor freight one is a dollar cheaper, is 11 inches, and weighs 6.5 pounds ('shipping weight')

Menards has a basic one that just ended being on sale. It does not have a handle or latch but is cheaper.

The HF ones are very nice, much nicer than the similar Lowe's Kobalt. Don't know about these HD containers, but have never thought, or missed not having a carry handle on my HF boxes.

I put hands on it while in store yesterday, Nov 3rd. The drawers are similar to the Kobalt model from Lowes. The US General model from Harbor Freight Tools is a the best bang for buck off all these mini toolboxes. The drawers are way better.

I have the Kobalt and US General models.

Prefer the HF box that is comparable in spec. Always around this price anyways

I got the Kobalt last xmas season when they were running a $7 sale on it and it fits perfectly on a shelf at my office at work. I use it to hold small hand tools and spare phone parts for my job. I've never had an issue with the non-ball bearing slides since it isn't meant for serious use.

This intrigued me as I saw someone put their everday carry (watch, wallet, keys) in it! They cut out felt/silicon pads though to avoid it scratching. What else are people using it for?

HF version is noticeably better quality than both this husky and the kobalt versions. Messed with the husky at HD today and the drawers are janky. Also the lid just flops all the way open vs the HF lid which stays up. The hyper tough version looks pretty good too but way overpriced.

This is exactly what I use my HF one for, which comes with shelf liners preinstalled.

The soft shelf liners are already installed on the HF box.

I use mine to keep my kitchen junk drawer free of tools. So pliers, multi tool, small hammer, various picks and files, tape measurer etc all go in the tool box on the counter.

Exactly. I saw this in the store and thought it was neat, but couldn't figure out for the life of me what I'd use it for.

What is the use case for this box? Seems like it can only hold a few small hand tools.

I bought the Husky and liked it. Then I went to Harbor Freight and bought one of those, and now I'm returning the Husky. HF box is better all around except for the lack of a top handle, which isn't necessary for how I'll use them. Plus, HF has multiple color choices if that matters to you.
