😂 the party pooper pointing their finger at someone else. Can't even see it yourself.
You mean...asking a question "how often do you really even need an emergency phone?" is being a party pooper? Hmm. I guess us folks who grew up with landlines really are more resilient.

I am planning to buy this for my family who is now overseas. Can this phone be automatically unlocked after 60 days outside the US?

You're again assuming you know better or are better. You're unable to see that you put others down and aren't being open minded to their point of views, needs, etc. I grew up with landlines. Others have already replied to you about how they would make use of this phone. And in this modern day and age, it is just NOT PRACTICAL to be without a mobile phone - due to work or personal obligations. In the emergency phone case, this is a cheap way to be able to swap phones really quickly for temporary use. For example if you're sending yours in for warranty or repair, or just need something until the replacement iPhone 27PM gets delivered. Yeah, a party pooper who just offers their negative opinions on every phone thread, making people feel like they have to explain themselves on why they'd want or get the deal and disregards their reasons anyway.

Not sure why you are being thumb downed. QVC is notorious for cancelling the orders and locking "new" accounts. To the point that I gave up
Probably used a new account five or six times and never had an order canceled

I got these about three months ago for $50. They aren't bad phones and work fine. What the plan they come with does is let you activate them for basically free and in 60 days they automatically unlock. I got shorted one of the ac chargers but for some reason mine came with two small power banks that weren't listed.

Would this plan be able to receive 2FA texts in Turkey?
No there's no int'l roaming with this service. But it will work over wifi calling/texting abroad. However, you won't receive any texts from foreign numbers. If the 2FA is coming from a US number, then you're fine.

I bought this pack like 6 months ago. The phone is not great but I easily switched the sim card to another moto phone and it worked pretty easily. I still have the other phone in the pack.
Does anyone know if you have to activate them within a certain time frame or what?

Seems you just don't understand not everybody thinks like you. Everyone has different needs, wants, and levels of redundancy.
You not being able to understand that shows your level of comprehension.

Also not sure what time you grew up in has to do with anything. I hated having a single landline, and luckily my dad had a business at home, so we had a 2nd line, which was great when I was a teen. But hey, I am sure 1 landline was good enough for you (heck, maybe you even had a party line), so what do I know.

Thanks, got an ugly one..
Truth be told, these default cases do nothing to protect the phone. The screen will still crack when dropped using these cases due to how little these plastic things cover. If you want to keep these phones for any reasonable length of time, it's best to get one you like and throw out the ugly.

You can activate 1, use it for 60 days, then activate the 2nd on the same phone number. The plans will stack together, and you'll have 2x unlocked phones after another 60 days, on top of doubling the year/data/txt/min. One disadvantage would be that you'll need to setup your apps/stuff again on the 2nd phone. Side note: Avoid taking out the sim and switching to the other phone. There have been warnings that if Tracfone realized the sims have been moved, your service may be suspended.

Tip: Given that there will be ~4 months of service in this scenario, make sure to claim referral and reward points during 1st activation. They would have vested after 120 days, and can be redeemed for more data (~9Gb using sign up bonus). If you already have a Tracfone account older than 14 days (which sounds like you do), consider creating a new account.
The plan can wait for two month to activate after I buy it?

4G should be fine if you plan to switch phones again in a year, maybe 2. Otherwise, go for the Moto G 5G 2025 deal instead for a bit more future-proofing.
