Drop your wishlists, predictions, or any early discounts you've spotted (Amazon, Walmart, Costco, Best Buy, etc).

Personally, I'm waiting to see if TVs and laptops get better drops this year. Last year felt kinda mid tbh.

Expect higher prices as the big box brands are keeping inventories low by design. The consumers will spend more on food than goods this coming holiday season. I hope I'm wrong, but I think BF is going to really suck this year compared to last.

I can't remember the last time I got a great deal during BF besides $.99 poinsettias at Lowe's.

BF stopped being BF for more than a decade now (or longer). Because there are several "sale" /"deal" throughout the year, the allure of BF is gone. Nothing unusual this year. It will always be "it sucks" compared to last. But you still get "deals" during the BF season; it won't be the "best" or "Lowest" but a rerun of the same "deals" that was offered during "prime" days or other "days throughout the year. Also, people started whining about how BF shopping is ruining their festive season or how door busters sales are ruining their experience. So the retailers moved away from in-store door busters and spread out the deals......

the last couple of years BlackFriday is a rolling event. Starts in Oct ,witth Prime Day and Walmart super sales, and just stay alert for super sale prices. There will be excitement ... but ... sales are sort of luke warm, ... I guess we will see after the next few weeks how it all un-folds.

Companies are also not sure how the xmas season will be, and how much inventory they should get.

happy blackfriday month! Smilie

I used to enjoy meeting up with friends after Thanksgiving dinner to shop when stores used to open Thanksgiving night. All that stopped back in 2018? 2019? There weren't many great deals then but it was still fun to hang out and shop. Early 2000s were the best for door buster deals.
Wishlist this year are iPhone 17 Pro and a laptop.

I think probably 2019 cause stores were negotiating covid in 2020, and by time people were happy to be out and about in crowds again the business model had already changed.

Same here. It was always fun to get away from the family a little and meet up with friends to shop.
