So, they have it advertised as a gaming laptop but it doesn't have a dedicated GPU. On top of that, they are selling it for $2k used. Wow…am I missing something?
Look up the reviews for this thing. The iGPU on it is better than a lot of dedicated GPUs and the memory share is quite useful for some games. Also it's essentially a tablet that can run AAA games relatively well. Albeit the battery life is trash at this task lol

The earlier versions of the rog flow z13 used to go for $1k-1.5k during deals. This is indeed an expensive deal. The other comment has already highlighted it's technical prowess.

Yes, you're missing a lot. The iGPU on this is insanely powerful and offers 5070 like performance. Don't get me wrong you can get a low end 5080 laptop for this price and that is obviously going to perform a lot better, but this is an extremely well designed and efficient product.

Plus, you can run Linux gaming on this with ease.

You missed a lot! This is a sort of Apple M series like chip in x86. The iGPU in it is the size of a dGPU chip.

This isn't like the m series in any aspect other than memory capacity.

Significantly worse efficiency and max performance. Just bandwidth starved

It's a 4060 / 5060 equivalent. While that's cool for an iGPU, it's plausible to get similar performance from other machines that are less money.

No it doesn't reach 4070 or 5070 performance.

You won't get 64GB with a touch screen that is lighter than a laptop at that price. It is unified memory, so with 64 GB and 128 GB you can run local AI models comfortably. You can run 120B gpt-oss model on the 128 GB RAM model at 5-6 tokens/sec since you can dedicate up to 96GB of VRAM from the 128GB RAM.

If you want to run local Llm a 3090 + 265k with 96gb/128gb memory will run 120b gpt oss at around 35 tokens/s for cheaper

Oh 100%, but it's the closest a x86 platform gets to the idea, especially with the unified memory. I like the new Macs, but there's just certain use cases where you don't have much of a choice.

Yeah ig if you just want a cheaper mobile llm alternative it is solid but efficiency wise I think lunar lake is the closest on x86 but only up to 32gb of memory and poor max performance despite good efficiency.Pantherlake is looking decent in terms of memory and performance but looking at m5 and snapdragon x elite I just don't think x86 can compete with arm
