I was going to get this until I found the plastic dish holders are permanently attached to the cooking bowls. That makes it a bit of a pain to wash the exterior and and keep them clean.

i have this and use this. Great form factor and easy to store away. SUPER easy to clean. also...wth are you doing that makes the airfryer so dirty on the outside? the plastic parts on the glass bowls are a non-issue for clean up.
There's silicone ring that makes contact with the rim of the glass, but it's silicone and not to be confused with the broader definition of "plastics" which can encompass a lot of other things.
Take the advice from someone who actually uses and cleans this Ninja Crispi. Freakin love mine. You can't load it up like a basket one, but some argue that you should not load up a basket one to the brim because it cooks unevenly. To each their own.

I was going to get this until I found the plastic dish holders are permanently attached to the cooking bowls. That makes it a bit of a pain to wash the exterior and and keep them clean.

I imagine the whole bowl + plastic part has got to be dish washer safe right?

edit: I checked, yes, the tempware glass container and plastic part are dishwasher safe. I imagine the plastic part is permanently affixed since the entire glass part gets HOT.

Brother in law has this. My Cuisinart does fries a lot better than this thing does. But you have to pile it on to get a good amount, not flat 1 layer like the rack does.

If you have the costco app you can type in the item in the warehouse tab and it tells you if its in stock and the price. You can chance locations also.

I have a dual basket Ninja air fryer I love, BUT the baskets are an absolute PITA to clean. They get caked on grease that I can't get off even when soaking or using a degreaser. Would the tempered glass be better, since I can put it in the dishwasher after each use?

I'm actually wondering the same thing. My ninja foodi grill nonstick surfaces are so caked up with grease.

There's also plastic edge all around the cover right under the stainless steel grate at the top, if you look closely. Was a no for me either. i don't want plastic heating up and getting into my food.
