Either is good. Donating actual food does ensure there's less chance of fraud, and if it's half price it's not about what Amazon is making. Now I'm going to read those two links you gave and see if I need to edit my post.

Update: Nope, I still think donating actual food to your local food bank is best as your are keeping it local. All they have to do is receive it and give it out, and someone local is going to be eating soup.

It dies quick, but staff posts still get upvotes and they drive traffic to Amazon because they delay expiring the deal.

It's not intentional, there are just a lot of deals that need to be checked, and not all expired reports are accurate. But we definitely need to do better since expired deals are aggravating.
