I have two pairs of similar ones or maybe the exact ones no idea. I only use for on/off when taking out garbage. You can't keep the light on high mode it's super annoying. As a motion light it's fine.

It's almost like they have to make solar lights as ugly and cheap looking as possible

It's the model Philips bought from a Chinese manufacturer at a trade show. They only make a few things themselves any more. TV's, shavers, medical equipment, and industrial electronics, other than that, it's all 3rd party and usually China. They've been Chinese owned for a few years now.

I buy a lot of these solar motion lights each year for my property. I recently bought another variant that's Philips branded and they are definitely made better over the generic Chinese ones.

I want to put this in alley way area between houses where we keep trash bins. It doesn't get much sun unless I attach it 20 feet up on wall. Would be best option getting light with rechargeable batteries?

Have one of these and works great for my use case: when I let the dog out at night & to be able to see critters at night.

I'm in for another pair for more coverage.

I have some random chinese branded one right one and it works well enough. Will pick up the phillips that project farm tested once my current ones die. I do wish it had a separate (corded) solar panel. I like being able to place the panel where I want and the light where I want
