Is this a very efficient processor or something? Seems really slow by modern standards:

Yeah, the V type lunar lake processors are the most energy efficient in their performance category for the Windows side. The H and HX use a lot more power, and the ARM based Snapdragon X elite loses a lot of app compatability to match the V's. Upcoming Panther Lake should improve on performance in the low watt category next year, but for now its the winner. The main thing is that it tops out at 8 cores, and some are ultra low power, so it loses on multicore benchmarks. if you compare single core performance to the H and HX, you find that it is similar. So unless they are doing something that loads up all cores for long periods, most people will be well served by the long battery performance.

Intel and AMD both have once again put so much energy into making SKUs cryptic.

Could be worse...at least I know a 288V is probably better than a 256V, unlike Dell where I haven't a clue if a Dell Pro Plus Premium Tower is better than a Dell Pro Max Micro desktop!

Do we expect any better deals on a laptop with these specs?

To me this is an excellent deal being 288v. These types of laptops 2n1 tend to be on the lighter side of raw performance more necessarily for functionality with 3k and for use with multi monitors. 32GB RAM is better than most of the laptops in its class

The price for this is a good deal considering I spent most of the weekend researching laptops including open box refurbished or eBay posts with 16GB around the same price. I even purchased a galaxy book 5 260 14in for 50.00 less. Now need to return the galaxy book

This is a good deal. I'm torn on this because the CPU and screen are way overkill for what I need, but I'm leaning towards getting this just to splurge a bit.

Very nearly bought the lower end model on sale for $679 yesterday. This adds the 3K OLED and bumps up the specs to 2TB, 32GB. Also Core 9 vs Core 7. $320 more for a little bit of futureproofing.

Anyone know how well these models hold up in terms of durability? I think the specs should be more than enough for general purpose use for 5-8 years.

What laptop are you talking about from Samsung??

Guessing where you wrote "260" you meant "Pro"? The 14 inch doesn't come in a 360 model...
