To preface I am a fan of both mobile OS. But how can google continue to price their phones as they do? The base iPhone outperforms pixels in performance and hardware. Pixel cameras are not king anymore and tensor is a flop. Base pixel 10s should be $550 at most new. If I want an android I would look elsewhere.

They probably know this, which is why they discounted it so soon.

It's a hard choice, but the AI capabilities of the Pixel are far superior (not even close). If that's important to someone, then it's not much if a choice.
Yeah I'm typing this from my pixel 9xl pro... I absolutely love it and I'm really critical of phones. I've owned iPhone, Samsung note, Samsung ultra, etc.
The software alone in the pixel is worth the price - buttery smooth. All the features just work and I never have to reset it like I do all the other types. I've gone back and forth between Samsung and pixel, but I just can't complain when I'm in Google-land.
To be fair, I can't really complain when on my iPhone either... They both just work.

I'm still rocking the 9pXl also and the cell modem in it crushes just about everything else.
Except AI chops, Pixel phones don't have anything going for them. The resale value is pathetic. I got $400 for iphone 14 pro with a small cracked front glass. Pixel AI especially with voice is miles ahead of iphone. But hardware will not last like iphone. Unless the hardware price is reasonable, no point buying a new Pixel. If this was $499, then maybe it's good. $450 is where it can be considered a deal.
If Google was smart they would offer an incentive that doesn't cost them much to move these demo phones. Like 2 years of YouTube premium with a Pixel purchase.

Have you ever heard of "to each their own?"
I tried the latest iphone for 10 days and the software is such a mess.. no universal back button, notifications stay there even though you checked the messages inside the apps..., customization is limited... and I could go on ...the iphone software is made for kids.
99% of people don't think 'tensor is a flop' because they don't even know what tensor is, they just enjoy the Pixel software and the camera features.
So to each their own!
Having used both iPhones and androids for years I recently got a pixel 10 pro xl because I am tired of how shitty Apple software has become. With that said the pixel blew away my iPhone 15 pro max camera. The software was light years better to use and so much smoother. Going back to my iPhone it felt so choppy and laggy even though on paper the iPhone SHOULD be faster. With that said, I still returned it and am back on my iPhone even though I hate it. Why? Because the android equivalent apps are nowhere near the same quality as the iOS counterparts. Now that's not googles fault or the pixel. But it was enough for me to not enjoy the experience. My only real gripe with the pixel was the fingerprint sensor was unreliable for me. The face unlock sucks. It's not like on an iPhone that uses infrared sensors. It just uses the camera so not only battery draining, but also no chance it works in a dark place.

I actually have a iPhone 15 Pro Max and use my Pixel 6 as my main camera for 2 years. Finally updating to Pixel 10. Not going to suggest Pixel camera is "better" but it's different. Pixel goes stronger on the shadows. Also, the one thing that killed iPhone as my main camera is that you can't take 1 picture with Timer. Have to auto-burst and take 10.
