Nice find OP! One store near me had a clearance price of $250, another had it for $199. Looks like I need to take a drive.

i kinda picked up a similar deal a week or so ago on a Makita hedge trimmer with battery. I've been on the Ego battery system and just wanted to see if these hedge trimmer are a little better than the Makita. Any inputs plus what else can I get use for the 40V battery system since mine came with the battery. I'm mostly a Dewalt and Milwaukee guy.

The blower kit is on clearance for $199 and has rebate for same chainsaw.

I am with you - I am heavily invested in the 18V line as well - still performing great! - however a few deals like this (trimmer+batt+charger+chainsaw) for $200 I could be persuaded to have both in my shop/house.

Well, the 40V mower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer and blower are all on clearance now

Does Makita send you the saw after you submit the rebate, or do you buy the saw and get reimbursed?

They ship it to you...I got a jig saw from another deal. They ship fast tho

Submit the rebate and they ship you the saw.

Well that was disappointing.
"This claim is being processed. Unfortunately, the "Receive" item GCU03Z is not available and therefore will be substitute with the GHU02Z + BL4025."

Hedge trimmer and battery - I have zero use for a hedge trimmer. Very bummed - excited that it was actually going to ship - now this.

Anyone have any knowledge if this substitution can be changed or if I am stuck with a hedge trimmer? (Those things were on clearance for $80 - I never use the one I have - I don't have any hedges...

Pretty disappointing but I guess it's in the fine print. Changing it to a different chainsaw would be understandable... but a stupid hedge trimmer?
