They get down to 1.5v by putting a little regulator in each battery to step it down to the 1.5v AA battery electronics expect. That is likely what that little indentation at the top of the battery is for.

Because it's a false claim on battery capacity (there aren't rechargeable AAs with this capacity), and "40%" off as a lightening deal. It's not a price mistake.

What's your cut? I'll confess that I mistook mwh for mah. But I also think that's Intentional confusion by them, as the industry usually cites mah for capacity.

They seem to have taken it down, i had a cancelled order. I am still uncertain what would be technically negative about these batteries besides being listed in mWh. I only ask because I have some coming now.
