This post is for 990 EVO PLUS, whereas the other post (with reference to the health issue fixed by firmware) was for 990 PRO. Is anyone aware of the issue impacting EVO PLUS?

Pretty terrible deal for refurbished, at least for the highest capacity. The 4TB 990 EVO Plus has been between $200-$225 multiple times on sale brand new.

What the heck is a refurshed m2 drive? Are they replacing all the chips on the board? If not how are they bypassing write limts and bad sectors? Why not just state they are selling used drives? A refurb standard hd maybe but a refurb m2 drive No. Not worth the possibility of losing data. Likely most of these have come from big businesses that ran them hard then upgraded. Not to mention prices should be much lower for used with no info how hard they were run.

I think bb via ebail, had these for $49.99 just a month or two ago. I got one because there was a $10 off $50 coupon.. ok drive, mine came with 1tb written to it (cleaning I would guess).. I am not sure why these are way more..

I bought one of these a couple months ago when they were less expensive than. The one I got was a 2TB Evo Plus, Samsung disk magician showed zero writes on it so I'm guessing maybe it was just returned unused.

I bought two of these from Amazon resale. Both were tampered with and relabeled lesser drives. Don't buy these used or renewed.
