HAPPYLISTENING20 code looks like it's good for 20% off sitewide. Not sure how often Emotiva has sales but even at full price their speakers are the biggest bang for the buck in high end audio. I've pretty much replaced all of my speakers with Airmotiv with the exception of a dedicated sytem implementing Soundlab Dynastats. The XT1s driven by a couple of cheap Chinese amps (Fosi is a GREAT brand) give the Dynastats a run for their money. Anyway

I would point out these speakers are not very efficient.

They like power and likely will need it to get them to there potential.

These mid level & lower AVRs may not be good enough in my experience.

Not disagreeing but I posted this is because the $999 KEF Concerto thread kept popping up on me. Both of these are more efficient and I'd bet the $440 XB2s would sound better. The XT1s will blow them away. Just saying.

I would have to kinda disagree.
These would prefer more power to get to their potential ime.

Two very different designs(sounds), which is better is mainly dependent on which sound you prefer imo.

If you did a blind test I would gamble that the majority would prefer the Metas imo.

Now you're just making shlt up. How do the Emotivas need more power to get to their potential when they're both more efficient than the KEFs? Doesn't make any sense. With the exception of low end 40khz vs 47khz the $440 Emotivas have better specs in every regard over the KEFs. I'd guarantee it would not even be close comparing the XT1s to the KEFs in a blind test.

Well I'm going by listening topic not specs topic.
Hence why people do a blind test or audition.

Even Emotiva recommends power for the XT1s at "60W or greater", the XB2s at "50W or greater"!
From personal experience I'll say "greater" to get to its potential.

The KEFs recommendation starts at 10Ws, from personal experience, I'll say greater on that also.

This of course are very over simplistic viewpoints.
Again imo these two produce obvious different sounds.
Which one sounds better ultimately comes down to listening to see which one you prefer imo.
