In my opinion, these types of cookers are the best. You can manually set the switch to the temperature that you need, and then plug them into any smart wifi switch, and turn them on when they need to be on.
My current cooker needs to have it's buttons pressed after it is powered on, therefore my smart switch option doesn't work. Time to upgrade/downgrade.

How do you determine when the slow cooker needs to be on? You leave uncooked food in the room temperature slow cooker and then turn it on a few hours later remotely?
Regardless of the wifi plug, I agree that the simpler manual knob is better.
