Helium Mobile Zero is a free backup or secondary line that can be handy for basic data, verification texts, and occasional calls on T Mobile coverage. eSIM activation is often quick and can work without much friction, and the app can be removed after setup. The main catches are the ID and selfie checks for some activations, physical SIM stock problems, and reports of odd usage tracking or data limits. The plan also appears to be changing, with taxes and fees now applying and the free offer ending for new users.

So they charged you exactly on the 27th? I thought it would be the end of the billing cycle, no?
My billing cycle ends on 28th.

Do you only change the E911 address, or also the billing address?
Only the billing address.
Edit: My bad. Upon double checking, I did change all the addresses.

That's surprising. I thought they calculated taxes based on the "Home Address".

7-cents on my 1/27 bill, but no CC charge pending. Maybe they don't charge if the bill is less than the 30-40 cents a CC charge costs.

Looks like taxes are about $1.50 for me too, a gig of data with mobileX is only $2 guess its no longer good in this phone as extra data.

plenty of esim would be cheaper, not selling your data and jumping through Helium hoops

Anyone using Helium Zero plan with Google Voice? Everything works well, but call out via phone's native phone app uses SIM number, not GV number even with "Calls started from this device's phone app: Use your Google Voice number" enabled.

Phone is a OnePlus Nord N200 5G that was free, running Android 12.

I'm getting charged for more than $5 just for taxes, surprised how cheaper it is in other states.

What address is used to calculate taxes?

There's like three addresses
E911
Billing
address.

Which ones do I need to change?

How will your credit card charge go through with the wrong billing?
