There is an unoccupied slot for a second SSD. The 16GB of ram is a single stick with an unoccupied second slot.

That's not really how it works.

This video [youtube.com] shows a similar GMKtec system with a Ryzen 6600H. He tested around 18W idle and 80W max.
A user in this thread [reddit.com] reported an idle power consumption of 7-11W for a Beelink system with a 6600H.
This benchmark [notebookcheck.net] lists the 6600H as idling around 8W and maxing around 80W.
This thread [reddit.com] shows an N100 idling at 14W.
You can find other benchmarks of N100 and similar systems idling under 6W.
My GMKtec mini PC with a Ryzen 7735HS idled at around 15W. I had it configured for a 54W TDP in the BIOS.

A couple of takeaways...

TDP is not a good way to estimate power usage of a CPU.
The total power of a system is very different from the power draw of the CPU.
Cheap components can greatly impact the overall efficiency of your system. It can turn a highly efficient N100 into a 10W+ idle machine in a hurry.

Good price for a capable mini.

No expandable features like Oculink or USB4. Doesn't even say if there are connections for more than one SSD. 🤷 ♂️

The original price is definitely inflated. Probably closer to $300. Either way, still a great deal. Nice find OP

More than 3 times more powerful and 9 times in terms of wattage.

The cpu is much faster. But the n series cpus are great for power usage if you don't need that fast a cpu and want to leave it on all the time for the type of stuff people might otherwise use a raspberry pi or something for.

What's a good remote control for this, if we want to run a Kodi or plex type setup with local copies of videos on board or on external drive? Are there entertainment interfaces that can help make this replace something like fire stick or roku, and still allow access to local videos?

I use jellyfin, it's been pretty flawless more recently, lots of complaints I saw were from previous years. Just grab a USB wireless keyboard with a touchpad, bump the windows text scaling up to 150%, and use it like a regular computer with an external drive or grab a NAS. You can also use jellyfin in this context as a web page in fullscreen. Also you can just host jellyfin, and use the TV's native app. I specifically grabbed an android OS tv because it's a bit easier. fark Samsung for making me get a developer id to compile and upload the app in dev mode because they won't put jellyfin on their native store.
Also once jellyfin is running on one pc, you can access it locally in the network on anything, even ios and android. You can also present it outside your network if you know what you're doing... Just don't do that unless you actually setup the certificates for SSL. not worth the risk otherwise.
Edit: Slickdeals new edits my posts for swears? Really? Also I don't think I made it clear you can just use this without a front end and just use it like a computer. I use a Logitech K400. I'm on my third one because my kids destroy everything. I tried like four others and everything else has sucked in some way.
