To first-time buyers:
Having an Apple watch can be cool and useful, but having to charge it daily was too much for me. As someone else once described it in a review/forum, it's like getting a pet you never wanted.
Also, how are you supposed to benefit from the sleep tracking (which Apple is objectively very good at) if you need to charge it at night? I saw the recommendations to quick-charge it during your night and morning routines, but this adds even more maintenance to owning an Apple watch.
There are other brands that offer similar features but whose batteries last several days or even weeks. I have other Apple products, and I enjoy them, but the watches need better battery life.
PS: I anticipate hurting some fanboy feelings here, but this is my honest opinion.

Not a fanboy at all but charging this watch is beyond simple. My 10 yr old manages to keep it charged , she uses it for her morning alarm. Wears it to school, dance, cheer , everywhere. Hers also dies faster as it's a cellular version not tied to any phone . Without the phone it relies on itself for cell network and all text/ media . Would it be great to last 3-5 days? Absolutely. My wife uses it extensively as a trainer and will work at 2 diff locations and throw it on the car charger between the two. And as you said why not put it on the charger while in the shower . I presume you do that daily . Then no other charging is required

Like I said, it's like having a pet you need to change your routine around. Not dumping on anyone who's OK with that. I was just sharing my experience, considering that there are other smartwatch brands with models that last several days to weeks on a charge.
At the end of the day, it's supposed to be a watch, not an extra thing whose battery you need to worry about daily.
SE2 vs SE3 - two generations (S8 vs S10) newer processor and (32GB vs 64GB) twice the storage. I saw only Rose Gold SE3 for $200 on Amazon. Black was still a bit higher. Expect prices to come down around the holidays.

considering this for 15 year old daughter. is there a significant difference between SE2 and SE3?
