The pictures at HD show the 1/2in is MISSING, but the description includes it.

Be careful! I've been buying the similar Dewalt set for year because it goes up to 1/2in while the Milwaukee sets didn't include it until the $50+ price point.

If you count the bits in the pictures, there's 23, so. no 1/2" included for sure.

Bought a version of this a few years ago, still going strong. I've only broke one of the smallest ones pushing too hard. Still cuts really well! Buy it!

Why does it seem like the old DeWalt BlackOxide bits were better?

All these titanium bits only have a nanometer thick coating that wears off easily, leaving exposed shiny steel that rusts instantly.

The older BlackOxide bits had a harder, deep coating that rarely rusted. They seemed more brittle, though.

I do facility maintenance 40 house a week for the last 8 years. These are the best drill bits you can buy for a reasonable price. Take care of them and dont smoke them and they will work really good for a long time. I think I paid almost double for this exact set 4 years ago.

Usually if rated for metal they are fine for wood. Metal rated are normally a little harder, but not always. Wood specific rated often has a different point to help keep from walking (again not always). If you use a wood only bit on steel, don't expect it to last long.

First time diy here. Is there a version of the hex shank drill bit set where the smaller bits aren't this short? I Want them the same 3" or so as the bigger ones instead of progressively getting shorter.
