The MILWAUKEE SHOCKWAVE Impact Duty 23PC RED HELIX Titanium Drill Bit Set is engineered for extreme durability and long life. The QUAD EDGE tip delivers a precision start and features four cutting edges to create smaller chips for faster material removal and less heat leading to improved performance. Designed with a VARIABLE HELIX flute that begins with an aggressive 35° helical angle and ends at 15° for rapid chip removal. The bits also feature an internal thicker tapered web that greatly increases strength, reducing premature breakage. Ideal for various applications including but not limited to wood, plastics, and metals. MILWAUKEE RED HELIX Titanium Drill Bits provide up to 5X life vs. black oxide drill bits. The pictures at HD show the 1/2in is MISSING, but the description includes it.
Be careful! I've been buying the similar Dewalt set for year because it goes up to 1/2in while the Milwaukee sets didn't include it until the $50+ price point.

man i have a couple of this set and a couple of the dewalt sets all loose in one box and reach for the dewalt ones every time, anyhow. few more weeks till its time to re-up on the dewalt ones for cheap(er)!
Bought a version of this a few years ago, still going strong. I've only broke one of the smallest ones pushing too hard. Still cuts really well! Buy it!
I do facility maintenance 40 house a week for the last 8 years. These are the best drill bits you can buy for a reasonable price. Take care of them and dont smoke them and they will work really good for a long time. I think I paid almost double for this exact set 4 years ago.

Dewalt sucks! You know who buys Dewalt? Logan Paul probably. What would Sabu think?
Usually if rated for metal they are fine for wood. Metal rated are normally a little harder, but not always. Wood specific rated often has a different point to help keep from walking (again not always). If you use a wood only bit on steel, don't expect it to last long.
First time diy here. Is there a version of the hex shank drill bit set where the smaller bits aren't this short? I Want them the same 3" or so as the bigger ones instead of progressively getting shorter.

All these titanium bits only have a nanometer thick coating that wears off easily, leaving exposed shiny steel that rusts instantly.
The older BlackOxide bits had a harder, deep coating that rarely rusted. They seemed more brittle, though.
