I finally worked my way up to the Dangbei Atom which is a little bit more money, but it is a night and day difference in resolution and brightness, plus it's tiny, portable and has a nice housing on it. I caught mine with a coupon too.
It's not even ultra short throw but I can throw up about a 30" screen on my bed onto my sidewall from about 2ft away. None of these cheap ones are remotely legible at a short distance.
All these cheap projectors are awful, I've fallen for this trap too many times, do not make my mistake. They all lie through their teeth about specs.
