If you have nothing keeping you on (like bill credits), port out to Tello, then port back in. I've done this a couple times with good results.

Believe you would need to port out for 90 days and then come back as a new customer.

You can always wait for the Google Fi deal for unlimited at ~$12.50 if you port in four lines. $50 for four lines of unlimited everything, 50GB high speed prioritized, 25GB hotspot is crazy

Does Total Wireless consider Verizon and qualify for this?

I see Verizon is making Tmobile sweat. Love how they forced a friend of mine to leave over a $90 plan to a $120 plan change (with no new phones) but now is trying to get people back with a better offer with phone included.
I was a T-Mobile customer for nearly ten years. Getting two senior unlimited lines for my wife and I. For years it was $55 as we ported in our existing phones. They suddenly eliminated the plan, got rid of paying by credit card, raised my bill to $75 and never offered anything decent as to new phones for existing customers. Last year I explained to my wife that Apple was no longer upgrading or protecting her iPhone 6. After going back to T-Mobile once again and verifying they had no phone offers, I switched and after deducting the costs for two iPhone 15+ phones (hers 128, mine 512), am back to paying about $60 for the two lines. Given 95% of our usage is at home with wifi, my next switch will probably to be to a secondary carrier. This offer is tempting but I'm concerned about how T-Mobile is no longer the un-carrier. Trust has been lost.

Exactly this, especially when:

"Unlimited Deal — 3 Lines for $85/Month — Get three lines of Unlimited for $85/month, with a price that's locked in as long as you stay!"

This magically DIDN'T stay "locked in as long as you stay" and turned into $110/mo for me when I had exactly that, had been with T-Mobile for like 12 years and had just had enough with the constant lies, along with all of the constant data breaches.

Ironically I went to Mint Mobile, which is still T-Mobile really, and just pay the $15/mo unlimited with no bells and whistles, but since United Airlines is going to free Starlink (no need for the T-Mobile inflight WiFi bonus), and the cost savings per month make up way more than things like "Netflix on us", there was just no point anymore, and I'll deal with the deprioritized data which is a little annoying at times, but ultimately, my life isn't greatly affected by it.
Mint includes data or not? $15 is unreal

I'm locked into an AT&T 3-year contract with an iPhone 16. Are there any ways to get out of it and switch to another carrier? Do any carriers have offers to pay for the remaining payments on existing phones?
I did this many years ago. Back then you didn't have to stay with them for any more than 3 or 6 months but I stayed longer because I felt guilty. They were really good in bigger cities but barely usable at my house so ultimately I had to leave

I'm not sure what your contact is but usually it just means forfeiting bill credits if you leave early. I just left ATT last month and paid $300 for each of my iPhone 15 pros (I was two years in). I was able to sell them for $400+ but had to deal with the annoying buyers on FB Marketplace.

I have about 2yrs left, so don't want to get into hassle of selling if some carrier can "pay" for it

I'm hoping someone would answer. We have at&t prepaid. Can we use this deal? I read the terms and conditions for this deal. Nowhere it says prepaid accounts can't be used for this port-in deal.

General advice I see on the T-Mobile subreddit from employees is that T-Mobile can't tell the difference between a postpaid or prepaid number. Visible is usually the prepaid carrier I see the most data points on the T-Mobile subreddit that works for port-in promotions, with one example from 5 months ago here.

Ymmv, because I don't know if T-Mobile finally got their system in order to prevent this. You can try asking the T-Mobile subreddit for more info.T-Mobile has 2 different incentives that will pay off your phones for you.Keep & Switch [t-mobile.com] and Family Freedom [t-mobile.com].https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...ly-freedom (Family Freedom)https://www.t-mobile.com/support/...and-switch (Keep & Switch)Keep & Switch allows you to keep your current phones, and Family Freedom requires you to trade in your old phones once T-Mobile pays them off for you. You would need to ask a T-Mobile employee whether either pay off incentive program can stack with the current no trade in required promo when you switch to T-Mobile.Upfront: $35 activation fee per line. (Costco & Sams Club members can get this waived and even get some bonus prepaid/gift cards)Sales tax on the MSRP of the phones.Monthly: $100 w/AutoPay enabled + taxes & fees & surcharges [t-mobile.com].Regulatory programs / Telco recovery fee: $3.99/lineState and Local Required 911 SurchargesState and Local TaxesFederal Universal Service Fund (USF) Must have all 4 lines stay for 24 months to get all bill creditsAutopay requires debit or bank account
Those taxes and fees amount to $5 per line for me

Looking for some vets to help; 1st: Is there any possibly way to unlock these phones during the 24 months of use so I can use an overseas esim while travelling to other countries? 2nd: is it possible to buy 4 iphone 17pro as part of this deal - I understand I would pay more for the pro and still only receive $830 in bill credits & I would be fine with that, but wondering if it is possible within the framework of this deal. 3rd: I'm currently w/ a random carrier like Redpocket or Helium, but can I port my number to US cellular and then take advantage of this deal? is there a set amount of days I need to stay with US cellular - would I be able to sign up for a plan and get that plan refunded if I port right out? wondering what the costs with US cellular would be. Thanks!

Just had chat with T-Mobile. You need to move a post-paid line. This is not going to work for me (only 1 out of 4 is post-paid). Good deal.

I have T-mobile now, but this offer looks good to me. How can I make use of it? Can we port the number to a different network for few days and then port to T-mobile? Please help and thank you 🙏🏼
you need to be out of TMobile for 90 days minimum before they wil give you new customer offers.. you can take a chance if you like but don't count on it
