If you have nothing keeping you on (like bill credits), port out to Tello, then port back in. I've done this a couple times with good results.

Believe you would need to port out for 90 days and then come back as a new customer.

You can always wait for the Google Fi deal for unlimited at ~$12.50 if you port in four lines. $50 for four lines of unlimited everything, 50GB high speed prioritized, 25GB hotspot is crazy

For existing customers, anyone ever try calling their retention department saying you will switch to a competitor to see if they will honor and deal like this? Trying to avoid the hassle of porting somewhere else.
just say cancel to the first agent and when speaking to manager to cancel, ask for free 17pro worth $6500 and 4 lines for $100 or you will cancel and switch

I just left T-Mobile for Verizon. Been with them probably 10 years and was tired of never getting deals on phones. Granted I was on the Military Magenta plan, but I got 2 iPhone 17s and 3 S25s free and my bill is the same. I'll shop around in a couple of years when we need/want new phones again. Lol
I've seen Verizon offers to match whatever your current plan costs if you switch, did you get them to combine that with the iphone / samsung free phones if you switch? I have an old tmo 5 lines for $100 + additional lines for $10 apiece plan, and one iphone 16 with about half the monthly credits / payments still due. How would I finagle what you did? Is the plan match thing limited time, then it goes up?

Also very eager to know if works or not. Thanks
I spent over 12 hours working to get Verizon to "beat their competitor." It was hellish.

When I called T-Mobile and told them my story and that I had ported out my numbers the rep was super nice. (I think I said, "customer retention" to the phone prompt.) Anyway, I went in to my local T-Mobile and told them I was a "win back" customer.

Now, to the point: We got three iPhone 17 Pro Max's and had the $890.00ish credited on each of the three. Our bill is now $168.00ish a month. I've already received a PDF of that bill, and everything looks correct. I would highly recommend this deal (minus the 12 hours wasted in Verizon "training" the new customer rep) to anyone who can get it. Oh, and I still have all three of the phones I started with (iPhone 13, 15, and 15) and only had to pay a $10.00 setup fee.

Hope this helps! It was definitely worth it. Also, if you're even considering getting insurance coverage go with Allstate or another reputable company. If our 14 year old even comes close to cracking the screen he will be paying the deductible, and we will use Apple for the repairs.

Why only three? My wife doesn't like the bigger phones and was perfectly satisfied with her iPhone 14.

I write the way I preach: Way too much information.

Hi,
I have 3 lines, does anyone know what's the best and cheapest way to add another line so I can port them? I tried 3 lines and adding a new one but doesn't work.
Thanks

Add a line to your current plan? Which service do you have?

Xfinity. Don't I need a phone to add a line ? I don't have a 4th phone as I only have needed 3 lines but the little one is going to be 12 so I figure getting the 4th line on T-Mobile.

Actually does anyone here know if T-Mobile will also pay off your phones and we can take advantage of the 4 lines for $100 and the free phones? I called T-Mobile and not to sound racist but the people that answer don't speak English and don't know anything when you ask them.

I just switched from Xfinity with a similar situation. We went to the T-Mobile kiosk inside Costco and told them we wanted the 4 for $100 deal. It was a pretty seamless process to port over 2 lines from Xfinity and add 2 additional new lines. None of the phones were in-store and had to be shipped (2-3 day delivery). Once the phones were delivered we brought the new phones back to Costco to set everything up. The Costco gift cards should arrive in approximately 90 days, $75 per line.

I got all five phones free(besides having to pay the taxes). Now, this is through 36 months of credits. I did kind of screw myself tho because I had just gotten 2 new Pixel 10s from T-Mobile and they couldn't pay them off, but they did give me $350 for each to help with that. I do have to trade in all our phones also. So essentially here's the breakdown- 5 free phones(pay taxes), 5 lines for $165/mo.(guaranteed for 3 years), and credit to help pay off my Pixel 10s. And they should pay off that 16 for you. It kinda looks like these carriers are starting price wars so I have a feeling it'll be around at least till Christmas.
