Yep. Warranty is good. Seems both the 5 and 6 have the issue after a few months. However, warranty might not cover the hinges. They could consider that abuse or customer damaged, not a manufacturer issue.
So glad I saw this and the link. I've had the xm3s for ~5 yrs now and I don't use it on a daily or even weekly basis.. mostly during travel for the noise canceling. I was thinking about upgrading but now I'm rethinking and looking at the HD 630

I've had my bose 700 for almost 5 years from a secondipity deal and been overall pleased with how comfortable and functional they've been, but the battery, Bluetooth range, and mic quality is starting to show based on my experience the past few months.

Excited to try some of these Sony headphones after the good reviews they've had on calls and noise suppression especially.

I think the HD 630 may disrupt the $500 market and the recent $200 offers for the Momentum 4 and this offers are early reactions to the release of the HD 630

Definitely good information to have! I had not seen it prior to ordering, even through all of my research about ANC and sound quality, the hinge issue didn't pop up. That article does make it sound like XM5 were the plastic hinge actually breaking, whereas the XM6 it is loose hardware, that once tightened properly, nothing is actually broken. Still not some thing enjoyable to deal with.

My use case is also for travel, and my primary focus is ANC and battery life. I use AirPods Pro 3 every day. I want something for travel that has 30+ hours battery life, similar ANC, and could easily plug into in flight systems if desired. I have been waiting to compare the RTINGS reviews of the Sony XM6, and the new Bose Quietcomfort Ultra 2, to see if Bose stepped up their ANC. It appears they did not, based upon what I've read, so back to XM6 I went.

I did briefly dive into the Senheiser HDB 630. However, the silver yokes on those are plastic, the ANC did not compare to XM6 or Bose, and the case is substantially larger than the XM6 or Bose. It does seem to have very impressive marks for audio quality though.

My plan was to wait for Black Friday for XM6, this deal with a two year warranty seemed like a sweet spot. I am hopeful that the Allstate/SquareTrade warranty will take care of any issues that arise, with less pushback than Sony's manufacturers warranty.

Between the way I treat electronics, and my use case being travel, I'm hopeful I will not need the warranty!

Yes, they had them listed previously for $285 directly on the Secondipity website, but only a 90 day warranty.

Through Secondipity via eBay it also includes a two-year warranty. This is the lowest it has been through their eBay storefront since I have been keeping an eye on it the last few months.

Typically about $379 on their eBay page, but did drop to $327 for a short time recently as well.

I ordered the $299.99 deal this morning and within 2 hours already had UPS tracking for delivery on Saturday 11/8.
How's been your experience so far? Did the headphones come with the original accessories? How was the condition?
