The research doesn't say that.It says people prescribed melatonin have higher rates of heart failure.Which isn't shocking, people with sleep issues have higher rates of heart failure, and people with heart problems have problems sleeping.Correlation not causation.But nobody reads the actual paper, or even the full abstract anymore, they just read media coverage of it.
