I bought this last month. Works great if you upgrade the RAM. 16GB minimum for a total of 24GB

Can this extend the desktop to 2 monitors? My current laptop can only do one. Thank you.

It's easy to open but I don't recommend this one for $400. I have Victus 15-fb2082wm that I bought open box for $450 that has Ryzen 5 8645HS CPU that is much better than this i5-13420H and a RTX 4050 that is about 60% faster than this slow RTX 3050.
Thanks and appreciate it. Do you have the link for the $450 one? Does it take DDR4 too?

15-fb2082wm is rarely available at $450. I have seen them for around $500 open box on Walmart website and ebay. No it takes DDR5-5600 not DDR4. DDR4 is old, mostly just for Intel 12th and 13th gen and old laptops. Most new laptops since 2023 take DDR5. RTX 4050 was a deal at $450 but I would go with new $629 Walmart Acer Nitro V16 with RTX 5050 or new $650 Staples Asus TUF A15 with RTX 4060 for a gaming laptop that will last years. RTX 4050 performs well now but in 2 years it may be too slow or 6GB VRAM may not be enough.

Thanks. I know DDR4 is the previous standard but I have 2 32GB DDR4 DIMMs (from my existing laptop) and planning to move it to the new laptop and that's why I asked you.

RTX 3050 is too slow for gaming now, slower than a GTX 1660Ti from 2019. Avoid at $400. You can get new $629 Walmart Acer Nitro V16 with RTX 5050 and new $650 Staples Asus TUF A15 with RTX 4060 right now. Those are much better deals than this. Those have over twice the graphics power, those can game for years instead of already being obsolete.
Any reason to think Black Friday will lower have the TUF under $600?

I paid 500 for a new victus with 4050 and 16gb ram like a year ago. this is meh for 3050, 8gb and open box. Still, with ram going up maybe this is as good as it gets.

This 13th gen intel version may have a wifi connection lost issue. I bought two separately and returned both. The 12th gen version is good.

This is the specs I bought last year from Walmart brand new 15" 144hz I5 13420H 2.1G / 16GB RAM /RTX 4050 graphic card / 500NVME for $499 black Friday deal. I think the deal probably come back this year.

This is passible if you literally cannot wait- but you should wait. You will REALLY want to add another stick of RAM for dual channel, so add whatever that costs to the total. The 3050 on this is basically the worst "modern" dedicated GPU you can get nowadays. If all you do is play low fidelity esports titles or older games from a few years ago, then this will probably do- but don't expect any modern games to run well at all, even on lowest graphics settings.

While you're at it, go spend another $7 on Lossless scaling from Steam because you are definitely going to need it.
