Double check before you do it. Got a thing in the mail saying "Get a $250 Gift Card With Approval". Only gave $60. Rude customer service person keeps repeating "It says get UP to a $250 gift card" which is not true.

WTF? I did the "check without impacting your credit" and got a - unfortunately you do not qualify for a prime Visa card!!! I have Amazon prime, never applied for their card in the past, My fico is between 790-808 on the bank sites, I'm only at 5% utilization over 80k of credit lines, absolutely no negative items in the past over 10 years, income in the $70k own a house and have an active auto loan! What gives???
Please update if you find out why. Happened to my family member too, and she's got exceptional credit.

I'm not going to dig too far into it, I don't need another line of credit but I'm happy to take a free $250. I suspect that's what it actually is they know they will give me $250 without any recoup of that so I'm not "profitable" to them thus we don't like your kind here! LOL!!

Received a flyer in the mail about this 250 credit....why not, free money! It probably took about 2 minutes to be approved when doing this online. Was there something about giving a referral and you will get 100 credit?

I am pre qualified and a Prime member but it just loops with no response when I apply. I have tried a dozen times on different days but can never even get a rejection message.

When I tried the "see if you're pre-qualified" link, it said I had to unfreeze TransUnion. Then when I applied, I "needed review." Called after 24 hours and was told I needed to unfreeze Experian. Did that and was immediately approved.

#1 rule of applying major credit card in the US is always unfreeze the 3 major credit bureaus (Experian, TransUnion, and Equifax). Nowadays I can unfreeze or freeze these 3 easily by using their Apps.

What is freeze for? I have 25 credit cards, plus I churn them all the time and I never used that option...

I think it was a biz account.

How long does it take to get the physical card? The gc was instantly applied to my agc balance.

Did you try with Prime trial?
I did not, but based on a Google search, it should be fine. However, if you cancel Prime, the features of the credit card would be downgraded.

Gotta be different Amazon account. I tried with mine but it recognized as myself after logging in and said that I've already applied for the card. So I logged into my wife's and started the trial, then apply for her. She got approved and I have another $50.

This is odd. My account is the main prime account and I share my prime with my wife's account. I generated a referral link and had my wife login to her Amazon account then click the link. She applied and got rejected. I got the rejection letter today and it said she was rejected because she already has a prime card, which she doesn't. In fact it referenced the last 4 digits of the card and it is actually my prime card. I'm not sure what's going on here.
