I have the x870 version of this motherboard, only complaint is that it boots pretty slow with the whole ram training (~30 seconds from a gen4 nvme). When it's on it's great and looks great, no issues

This old version of the board is cheap now because it was replaced by a "X3D" version of the board.
Both boards are great. Pretty much all the updates add to the new board's overclocking abilities.
Better VRMs, "X3D Turbo Mode 2.0, AI-enhanced overclocking", support for higher speed RAM, and a better overall thermal situation.

You can fix that in your BIOS. No reason to have it retraining every boot unless your settings are really unstable.
I've heard the X3D boards might be more beneficial to upcoming AM6 CPUs...I want to wait for an AM6 CPU, but if a good deal on a 9950x3d comes up I might get it, it's just hard to choose a board with some of these stories about them...the 9950x3d doesn't have too many combinations with boards from what I've seen

I lived with the same issue past few years because I'm a Day-1 AM5 adopter. Turn the computer on, the fan ran full throttle for like 15-20 secs, then another 10 sec to boot during memory training. However, the other poster is right, there is a setting in the bios, I found the recommendation from someone on reddit last month. I don't remember the setting name, but I switch to that mode and now my computer boot in 10-15 secs.

It may vary from manufacturer, but i believe that was the setting name from my asus motherboard.
