On my account it looks like 20% discount works with trade in.

With the new one out after thanksgiving in early dec (not confirmed I think but reliable source), this could go down further.

New one will start at 500 (with front light).

The writing on this is amazing but it's not 500$ worth of amazing

No it isn't. This screen is great and I can't imagine that the minor improvements on 2024 screen are worth it. All the software stuff on 2024 is on 2022, and the new stuff on the upcoming one will be on this one. Maybe a feature that requires more processing power would be missing. But in that case the 2024 wouldn't have it either.

It could be ymmv but in my case it was instant discount with gift card. I have until Jan to send in the trade in device.
