Has anyone seen if there are any Black Friday sales coming up on Legion Go series of handhelds or the Rog Ally series of handhelds? I'm wondering if I should jump on this or wait and see if something else comes along.

Wondering the same thing hoping to see I do know that 11/11 is China's Black Friday kind of day so maybe some of these manufacturers might have some sales. Something to look out for

What's the return period? If it's 3 weeks or more you can buy now and rebuy at Black Friday, yea?

Best Buy's standard return policy is 14 days. I don't know about this specific it but in general you need to pay for their membership to get reasonable return periods.

Picked up an excellent condition yesterday morning and already swapped it to Windows. Trying to get all the other launchers working was a PITA. I have games in GOG, Epic, and Ubisoft as well as steam. Ultimately Ubisoft Connect was the nail in the coffin before I installed windows. I tried multiple guides and apparently they've updated the launcher so the most recent version doesn't work with the typical proton-experimental launch process in steamos?

This is a great price! I picked up a like new Ally X earlier this year and our SteamOS and haven't looked back. Hero launcher and EmuDeck are great.. just no Anti-cheat games (which you prob don't want to play on handheld anyway and some games disable anti-cheat when they detect SteamOS).

The extra ram is great as you can allocate more to the gpu (vs having to mess with it for SteamDeck).

It says returnable until Jan 14th on mine so thats 68 days.

I picked up a open boxes good and it seems like new no scratches, still playing with it, i might prefer the ally xbox x because of the xbox triggers, with the legion go s the triggers don't feel as good imho

Really good deal, although Walmart had these NEW for $650 a couple months ago... Yeah, yeah, no time machine, BUT BP is right around the corner, so who knows... Since, you can return it, might be worth it to get one and see what deals happen. 🤔

To me, this is the best Z1E handheld.
  • 8" 1200p with 120Hz VRR. (7" Ally wasn't cutting it for my old eyes...)
  • 32gb RAM (More than all of the other Lenovo, Asus, MSI handhelds... Even the newest XBox Ally X (Only 24gb, slightly faster APU though))
  • Dual USB4 ports (Especially useful for eGPUs)... Although, I'm not sure if they can be used in SteamOs or Bazzite... 🤔🤷 ♂️ They work with Windows.
  • Ergonomics are so comfortable.
  • I personally don't care for the Legion Go 2 detachable grips... Or the price. ☠️☠️☠️
PS: You can easily install Windows 11 on this or Dual boot if you want. Windows will allow playing online games that use anti-cheat and eGPUS.
