Do NOT return the battery (hacking) if you order online. There are reports of people being banned from online ordering after one instance of hacking. Over the last few months they've become incredibly aggressive so far as returns go.

I call bs. Done exactly this so called hack 5-6 times in as many months now and have a set of 5ah batteries to return when I'm near the store Tuesday. Their loss if they choose to "ban" me for something that they are very aware of people doing. Should this happen, I'll be more than happy to report back.

This model is better than the current Dewalt SDS drill promo, because this Milwaukee has a impact only setting. This is important when you want to chip concrete, without the bit spinning around all cray cray on you.

Well, if you want to avoid getting flagged, your best bet is to purchase in-store using a CC that has never been used in your online account. If you checkout and it has your email displayed, they already linked it. You can also pay cash or use a gift card, but they'll take your license information for any return not on a CC. whether that can come back to haunt you, I'm not sure.

Just want to chime in and add that my account has been banned from online orders. I've done these hacks for years now probably 10-20 times. About a month ago I started having issues logging in and finally reached out to CS where I was explicitly told my account is banned from online orders.

I hear the concerns, I picked mine up a few days ago. I didn't pick up the battery, only asked for the drill. Once out of the store I was able to cancel the battery order without issue. I wonder if this would be treated differently than fully returning the battery.
