It's similarly priced through knife center. You won't get fakes from them.

This is a better knife than a bug out. I own both. This is smoother, better steel, and a stronger knife, with the same warranty. Benchmade makes some really nice knives. But this Kershaw in particular is better than a comparable Benchmade

Couldn't be better timing for me! Lost all my pocket knives of any repute during a move this summer and was thinking I'll get a nice Kershaw next sale I see.

I had a co-worker who swore by them and carried one that had a similar blade shape to this (don't think it was the OG Bel Air though), anyway his outlasted multiple Gerber and Benchmade I have had.

Looks like a really good knife so I grabbed one with same day, will report back if it somehow sucks horribly Smilie

Kershaw USA is one of those brands whose MSRP is laughable, but when on sale can be a great value.

Huge agree, but I like only ever see the leek go on sale, which appears to be rather perpetual. The beige bel air for 129 (~3/4 in shorter) seems to be more my speed. Love Kershaw USA, and I admittedly own two of the chinese kershaws which are also fine.

Hi everyone, I have an honest question. I picked this up on the last deal. I have had a crazy amount of Kershaws over the years (my EDC is usually the Skyline) but the Bel Air is the most expensive one so far. It's nice, but it still just kinda seems like a regular knife to me. The action is smooth and very cool, but tbh all the Kershaws have smooth actions, even the Chinese ones. I have a Cryo which opens super fast and is really easy to use and I got it for like 25 bucks back in the day. So yeah, the Bel Air is nice, but what makes it like $120+ nice? Just the better steel? Thank you!

My 3" Kershaw pocket knife with assist was like $25, but maybe it's not as "fancy" as this one. I mainly use it to open / dissect boxes at work.

I realize this has MagnaCut steel, but this price is well into Zero Tolerance territory.

Cause it's made in America… there are tons of better options out there at this price point. Check Spyderco, Zero Tolerance and Benchmade. Also if you're willing to get something quality made over seas your gonna have a plethora of cool things to choose from.

Much better steel, ball bearing pivot, cross bar lock, and the Bel Air series is made in USA. Each of those points would expect to see a price premium over the Chinese made Cryo frame lock. Whether or not the premium is worth it is up to you.

Manufacturers have been doing some amazing stuff with the crossbar lock since Benchmade's patent on Axis expired. The $10 Ozark Trail knife from Wal-mart has a better action than any of the Benchmade knives I have owned.
