I'd just spend $20-30 more and get a real android tablet. FireOS is garbage. You can "jailbreak" it depending on the version, but it's just an unnecessary pain.

Be prepared to rotate screen orientation and wait full 30secs for response. Another 2.30 mins me ads before getting to your content. All the while toddler screaming for something.

Or... Hear me out... Don't give your toddlers a freaking tablet and give them a book instead.

A toddler isn't going to read a book. Parents would know. Easy to be the arm chair wiseman.

as a person who has bought both

I been real happy with my android iPlay 50 mini pro with 8 gbs of real ram and 256 gb of storage I got for Amazon Prime day for $90 before extra accessories

• note the iPlay 60 mini pro exists which is a slide in marginal improvement with losing the headphone jack but gain a marginally larger screen, bigger battery, better speakers, newer android version. Pretty much the iPlay 50 mini pro is on clearance for $100 and newer model is $130 the old price for the iPlay 50 model

at the same time $30 dollars and $60 dollars are different price points before accessories vomitWink

They would and do read books if you don't expose them to candy crush and YouTube trash before they can form proper sentences. It's easy to be a good parent, and not let a device raise your kids. Sincerely, a parent and Father who cares.

It's Amazon - everything they sell is a giant advert.

I would be interested to know what OS version this comes with. I assume the new ones are set up so that the Toolbox can no longer be used.

This right here.

Excessively limit and restrict all access to these devices -- and since these goblins imitate their parents, that includes the parents putting their screens away too. But since adults have their mobiles surgically attached to their hands, as a dopamine drip shunted to their brain, it's impossible to convince them otherwise.

I was yelled at by other parents that not giving elementary and middle school children their own unrestricted smartphone was tantamount to actual child abuse.

Exactly my son is now 9. We didn't expose him to any screen until he was 5, that screen was a TV, and we controlled everything he took in a limited to an hour a day. I incorporated video games to him when he was six, I gave him my OG Gameboy, we'd let him game in 20 minute spurts, supervised. At 9 now, we let him watch YouTube for 10 mins a day supervised. We allow him to game switch, Xbox, raspberry pi, 30 mins a day, supervised. We don't allow him to play roblox or any mobile games due to the trash nature of those games. I've explained him the differences of playing games with substance vs games that want to drain your pockets, cause gambling addiction. Etc. For context I'm a video game collector that owns every console ever released in America going back to pong clones and have a collection of over 3500 games. I buy him a lot of video gameHistory books and let him borrow mine, and a lot of graphic novels and try and cater to his interests, and constantly trying to expose him to new and different books. Now I'm not perfect, and I do mess up like giving him my mad magazine collection was a bad choice, but now we get laughs out of it lol. Despite trying to do all the right things he still says "6-7"and "bruh" every other word.

Garbage product overall. Overpriced specs, only 3gb ram and 32gb memory. You will have very little space 23-24gb memory after OS. Slow and full of ads
