This is a lot of bike for under $2k out the door.
I bought the GT Sensor élite 2 months ago for $1,600. It's the same bike but this model has significantly better drivetrain and an upgraded suspension.
The GT Sensor is a great bike for all mountain trail riding.

Here's a YouTube review:

Wow this is really well spec's for under 2k. Lyrik fork, super deluxe shock, code r brakes, and GX derailleur? Holy crap, too bad is S or XL only!

Not this specific model, the sensor elite was that price. This is the pro. Good luck with getting a replacement frame if this one breaks since GTs are no longer being made...

One of the reviews on GT site shows a broken frame after a month of use. Who knows what he did to it, but it raises an eyebrow. Another reviewer said he had a hell of a time finding replacement parts for this thing. It's a great price on what looks like a good bike, but GT looks like it's toast and you will be on your own.

Finding replacement parts should be easy. They are parts used on many other bikes - not GT specific. It is difficult for the average rider to break a frame as well, btw and at this price, you can't really expect free frame replacement.

Sounds like GT went under but here is a comment from reddit: "Pon, the parent company is offering support for 10yr+ for frame parts/warranty". Seriously considering this

The review was talking about the pivot bolt, which apparently is proprietary. Looks like a few people have had issues: https://www.reddit.com/r/MTB/comm...ivot_bolt/

The bike should have two so it could be taken to a fabricator if needed to make another. With that in consideration, I would buy this if I needed a mtb. Good deal.

How do I know what size I should be getting? I'm 6'1" 200 pounds. Would an XL be good? Would it feel awkward? Speaking frank, I really would've preferred a white frame, but I also don't know if deals like this come around often. Do they come around often?

I'm barely 6' and 170 lbs, and XL is too big for me. I feel like you might be able to pull off XL. Still better to check bike forums, sizing guides, etc. This is a great deal. Would have jumped on it if L was available.

I got this 4 months ago when it was $2299 for the Large.. It's a great bike, the best I've owned. I upgraded the brakes, wheels, and crankset. Still worth it.

Jenson has a XXL Megatower build for $1999. Hellllluva price for that bike (for folks who need more than a Sensor)
