It's crazy this drill has not received an upgrade in its 13-14 years of existence.

Does that mean it's just a solid product?

This drill isn't getting any upgrades. It's getting put out to pasture since they've just released the new 4 in 1 DCD803B.

Have you seen the new drill with right angle attachment? Doesnt look like it will work in tight places where you want a right angle drill. e.g doesnt replace it

You mean "i.e.," which means "in other words." "E.g." is "for example."

I was at home depot today and they have a right angle impact adapter for $19 and a more complete right angle set for $29. Seems better for occasional use than this one for $99. Of course, a dedicated tool is better if you are using it a lot.

Maybe also because Dewalt sells a right angle drill attachment, for a regular drill. So you can get between tight spots with your brushless drill.

It doesn't really need to be brushless. It's a specialty tool that you'll only need for a few holes or to drive a few screws when you can't get a regular drill into the space. It isn't a tool that gets used a lot, but it is particularly good for tight space work.
