The Jackery Explorer 300 is a compact portable power station best suited for keeping small electronics and lights running when outlets are unavailable. It has been used for phones, laptops, bike lights, an e bike top off, a CPAP with an adapter, LED and construction lights, and even as a home UPS for internet, TV, and lights during outages. It should handle most electronics, though not a desktop PC or space heater, and the 293Wh capacity may feel limited for longer runs. The lack of USB C output is a notable omission, and the battery performance drew a blunt complaint. A practical backup for light to moderate power needs.

  • The Explorer 300 can keep internet, TV, and lights running during power outages.

  • The Explorer 300 can charge phones and a laptop away from outlets for short periods.

  • The Explorer 300 can run small loads like bike lights and can top off an e-bike.

  • The Explorer 300 can help with off-grid lighting setups when a field has no nearby outlets.

  • The Explorer 300 lacks USB-C output, which can limit modern device charging options.

  • The Explorer 300 may not handle higher-draw devices like a desktop PC or space heater.

  • The battery performance can be disappointing, with at least one report calling it poor.

  • The listing may not clearly show the included charger cable for this specific model.

Where do people use these portable power supplies? They seem to be an idea gone wrong judging by the amount of deals posted for them lately. It's Slickdeal season......help me make this thing fit into my life. Lol
I have one of these and mostly have just used it to charge phones or a laptop when away from an outlet. It's good peace of mind for charging those if the power goes out briefly. Ive also used it to charge my bike lights / top off my e bike, and have an adapter to run my wife's CPAP if the power were to go out for a night. I'd recommend going bigger unless portability is very important in your use case.

No USB-C output on this one seems like a huge oversight. Is this an old model?

I use mine at home as a UPS although mines a larger capacity model than this one it's still advertised as portable and has a fold out handle. This smaller one would still work fine for most electronics just maybe not a desktop PC or space heater etc but pretty much anything short of that would probably be fine.

Only if you have it sorting by "personalized" which you can remove it's just normally by default on.

Sad to say this is new norm. Primarily this site is to make money for the site. This is not a member first community. Fatwallet at the end made the same mistake.
Any recommendations, you know alternatives?

Ahh... how I miss the thrills of the HP Touchpad fire sale, AMZ warehouse glitch with PS3 and Xbox 360 games and consoles. Still have the $25 backward compatible PS3 systems about 2 now and a ton of the $1.94, 4.33 games. Those were some of the golden days I remember Frown

I just signed on for the first time in over a year to second this. People used to post stuff to help people save money... now it feels like items are posted just to make SD money.

Operating major sites costs money. Sometimes lots of money. As sites get more popular, costs go up too. Welcome to basic business school 101.

Don't know about others, but I'm going to try this or similar in my car for long trips. I just drove to and from Vegas from east coast and could not keep my ipad pro charged while driving. Unless I put the screen brightness down so low I could barely see it. It's using the cell gps for waze, so it think it puts extra burden on the battery. No matter what cig lighter charger I get, it can't keep up with the battery drain. Plus it should work well with my Satechi charger. Also, some hotels have crappy wall plugs, so this could charge my stuff right when I walk in without issues. (Yes, i stay in some dumpy hotels sometimes). In addition, these things just look cool, not gonna lie.

So I will look for one in the $100-$125 range over Black Friday.

You plug it in at home or work to charge it up.
