If you want a different color, REI has the Forest Olive variant for $74 as an 'outlet' item. Wait until the 14th and you can use the 20% off promo which brings it down to $60. But you might need an REI membership to use the promo.

If you're talking about the strap that goes around the top of your luggage handle, no it doesn't. It has a sternum strap and a waist strap but nothing you could really attach onto a luggage handle.

Thanks. I'm trying to find "the one" bag for daily use and travel but can't seem to find it because travel ones tend to be heavier duty and heavier by nature, but then there are others like this that probably can lack much more but you can't slide it over the retracting handle so you have to haul it in your bag around airport.

I'd point you in the direction of SwissGear backpacks, they make decently made backpacks with travel features in mind while also being good for daily. I wouldn't say they're the best quality from experience though

I saw them at the discount outlet the other day, they look OK but it was kinda expensive for what it looked like, and million compartments Smilie I bought a targus one few years ago, very business minded and holds its shape and looks very nice but when empty it was super heavy so when loaded it breaks your back.. Will keep looking, but I like the commuter design.

Never purchased anything north face. Because I view it as a brand too expensive and for clothes especially I can find cheaper alternatives. Love the color. wish it was closer to $40

If you like it just pull the trigger. $20 isn't going to mean anything for something that should basically last a lifetime.

I bought a North Face travel backpack that operates sort of like a suitcase. The material is very nice and the zippers feel robust and it just feels built to last forever. And I bought it because of the color too. Would not ever consider a different bag, love mine.

I've got the Surge II model and have used it daily for 10+ years now and still love it. It was worth every penny and I'll likely replace it with another North Face when it's time.

I didn't realize these were that popular. I've got a black one I bought last year I never put to use. Was thinking about putting it on ebay.
