Because it's a much better TV.
It does everything better than the qm6k series. For the same reasons a Chevy Blazer is half the price as a Rivian R1S. The Blazer is great for most people and will serve them well as an every day driver, but the R1S at double the price offers much higher performance.
The main difference with these TVs is the Brightness, like the difference between having 300hp and 600hp. You don't think you need that type of power until you've driven a 600hp vehicle and go back to a 300hp vehicle. It's all up to you, if you're happy with a dim TV, no need to spend double on a super bright TV, but if you want more…. The TCL QM8k offers more at double the price.

I can't speak for others but for me I'm staying away from OLED TVs because of their limited lifespan compared to LCD/LED TVs

Dont get ripped off spending 1400+ tax on a TCL 75" 4k when you can get "LGs 8K TV 2024 FLAG SHIP model " for LESS brand new as do note LG is still making the 8K TV this is not a refurbished 8k tv and LG has a 10% discount free shipping and free placement assembly onto A stand - wall mounting is a charge however not free but i aint into holes in our walls -

4k is dated 12 yr old TREX crap eye soar resolution - the LG QNED99t is a hidden gem 1st reviewed back in 2022 - the 2024 model is superior up[graded to the latest chip - simply isnt in production for sale in the USA- BIT DONT BE FOOLED IT ISNT A 2YR OLD MODEL sitting in a box its new even if off the 2024 platform being built and shipped by the MFR NOT SAYING THE TCL isnt new it is just explaining that although did stop all sales of 8k dec 2024 they are still being produced and sold in Australia etc using the same USA.AU platform as they are going to be pushing oled 8k tvs again as well but i prefer ethe mini over oled as there is no sch thing as burn in!

LG 86in i bought 8k tv marked down from 5300+ tax to 2349 shipped after code & the 75in would be maybe 1340 shipped smokes this TCL by far -

see the slickdeals link below - SHOP WISELY far too many greedy fleecing clowns up charging fleecing everybody - everything has sky rocketed except for my damn pay check! THE ADDITIONAL 10% off is in the comment section but no way id be buying this POS TCL 4k over LG 8K thats silly

LG has both the 75" and 86" 8K tv's on sale i bought the 86" --- worth every penny and than some
